A five-week practical course in date palm care, harvesting and packing, on a working oasis farm in Al Ahsa.

Pollination and pruning by hand, safe climbing and the use of lifting equipment, harvesting and grading dates, and cold-store packing.

项目安排

Weeks 1-2: palm anatomy, pruning and pollination. Week 3: climbing and lifting safely. Week 4: harvesting and grading. Week 5: packing, cold storage and dispatch.

需要携带的物品
Work clothes and closed, sturdy shoes. All tools and safety equipment are provided on site.

Every power tool is used under direct supervision. Eye and hand protection is provided and must be worn, and the workshop has a trained first-aider present.
Accessibility
Mountain paths with loose rock; sturdy boots required.
