Weekend mangrove planting and monitoring in the coastal reserves around Abu Dhabi.

Seedling handling and planting at the correct tide level, survival monitoring, measuring and recording growth, and safe wading.

项目安排

Volunteers plant at one site per weekend, then return to the previous site to record survival and growth. Records are kept as a running series.

需要携带的物品
Clothes you do not mind getting dirty, closed shoes and a refillable water bottle.
安全要求
Work is in public places, in a group, under supervision. Heat precautions apply, and sharps are handled with gloves and collected separately.
Accessibility
Gravel tracks and a wadi crossing; the centre building is step-free.

我喜欢 Hatta 的 红树林修复志愿服务, Abu Dhabi 的一点是，工作成果看得见。到周末你可以指着改变的地方，知道那是自己做的。协调员很有条理，每天安排得当，结构也足够清晰，不会有人站着不知道做什么。我会毫不犹豫再来一次。

我原本对志愿项目持怀疑态度，但 Hatta 的 红树林修复志愿服务, Abu Dhabi 不是拍照作秀。我们整天在做社区真正需要的事，而且优先事项由当地伙伴决定，不是我们。行前说明清楚交代了会做什么、不会做什么。正是这种对社区的尊重让它真正有效。
