Saudi Arabia has invested heavily in youth programmes alongside tourism and cultural development, including joint Gulf youth work camps and outdoor activities in areas such as AlUla. Vision 2030 has widened opportunities for young people in hospitality, tourism services, trades and technical work. Outdoor programmes suit the cooler months and the highland areas of the south-west, while desert and heritage sites in the north-west are used for supervised camps and environmental volunteering.
